Hey I am having the same problem running a p28. I have a laptop with wireless internet connection so if you want to try and debug it that way, I'd more than happy to help. Just let me know.

You can log with any of the roms listed on the ecucontrol website. Just take the appropriate rom for your rommeditor/ecu, open it up in the editor and change it to your needs and then datalog.

i mod the rom's with Crome
i load the P30-G00_Datalogging-38400 to Crome.

Do you know what code the CEL is on for?

Which options do you have toggled on/off in crome?

Have you checked which code the ECU is throwing? (The light only lights up if there is a problem...)

I'm also having problems connecting, ecu control says connected, but no datalogging. I also burned the p28 code and used it in a p06 and p07 ecu, but I get a cel. I think it is all hooked up right, but I haven't really had much time to play with it. I also need to try the other programs to see if they work.
I am uses the max adapter and then a comm port to usb adapter, could this be the problem?

the obd1 p28 datalogging code on ecucontrol's website never worked for me. Do a search on the site and find the latest p30 datalogging bin... that worked perfectly for me.
