I am in the same boat. 89 civic with a OBD1 conversion harness. I'm running a P28 but with a D16A6 in right now. Running OBD1 for testing the RTP stuff and going to do a Z6 head swap + turbo.

Lack of vtec means I was running a P06. I got the P28 map to disable vtec once but haven't been able to make it work in the latest version of CROME.

I designed and built my own TTL-RS232 board using a SMT MAX232. Now I have no idea if the problem is ECU or hardware or even software.

I'm curious if that posted P06trial map worked.

Hrm. Tried the posted map. ECUcontrol just seems to display random shit. I tried re-connecting J12 still no go. Also tried connecting through secureCRT to see if the ECU would send anything back. Hitting "aaaaaa" it would send back a 'U' occasionally. I don't know the protocol but it seems to be doing something...

I'm trying 38400 8-N-1 is this correct?
