Okay guys, I managed to do dataloging sucessfully on a PR3 ROM tonite !!

I am a step closer to a very functional OBD1 version !!!!

Calvin, this means that PocketPC version will be soon datalogging stuff !!

there is still a kind of ecu synchronization to do. For some reason, when I stop dataloging and strat back, I get nothin, I have to use the "Read" button like 4 times in a row with a valid address "10" for example, it gives me nothing, then gives me ERROR ($55) and then it gives me the value requested.

Weird.

FUCK 1.5.1, version 2.0 will be out VERY soon (meaning THIS week)

thanks man! i look forward to trying out 2.0
i have other issues, i can data log, but for some ungodly reason my laptop with win2kpro doesnt like batronix's rom programming software.. so i'm gonna have to drop back to win98se.. hopefully that'll solve my problems so i can data log and then make changes to rom at the drag strip

btw, I don't know if you mention it, but J12 will be important with ECUcontrol. 38400 baud is fast enough that data will get easily clobbered if J12 is present. See wiki for more info.

Hey Synoptic,

I've got the same as you have
$55 and a value
but if i try to start datalog it wont work
I figured out the whole routine and all settings according the
manuals and I reviewd all connections of my serial converterd etc etc.

I'm using a pw0-x00 euro ecu.
it should be a little the same as the pr3 so if it works with you
please let me know all you did
I hope you have a solution?

Regards,
Anton

All I did witha a PR3 is put the chip in, plus the ECU onto my laptop and started datalogging. Same shit as if it was aPMx family ECU..

Weird.

Was a solution ever found to this problem?

I have a JDM PR3 with beta2 bin burned and I get the same thing. $55 code and nothing more. I did connect the Nokia cable to CN3 as there is no CN2 that I could find. I tried to connect directly at various setting with Hyperterminal also but could get nothing more than the $55 code.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Well I found a some info in this thread:
http://www2.pgmfi.org/phorum/read.php?f=16&i=78&t=78

I am using a old police toughbook with touchscreen, wireless, and other irq using devices. I will try disabling anything that might be sharing with the usb. If anyone else has suggestions....

I am using a PR3 which is quite differnet. Would is still be J12 I would have to cut. And also there is no CN2 it CN3 on the PR3 does it still share with the underdash connector?

Ok it works now. $55 was caused by IRQ sharing problem. All is good now I love u all. Datalogging rules. Now to buy an ultra expensive wideband so I can tune this thing.
