ive been working on this spreadsheet here and there for a while...thought i would share some screenshots. it works with 5.8.41...

basically it takes your log file (.csv) and plots graphs as shown below. it also works with TE maps to find duty cycle and ignition retard.

here are a few pdf outputs...hopefully they work
http://www.geocities.com/joeyp_19/EC1.pdf
http://www.geocities.com/joeyp_19/EC2.pdf
http://www.geocities.com/joeyp_19/EC3.pdf

what i need help with is hp/tq...i need a few log files (preferably without wheelspin) and a corresponding dyno graph. im basically calculating tq by using acceleration and momentum and there is minimal difference between the two. can anyone help me with this? all i need is log file, dyno graph, gear ratios, tire size and weight.

please let me know if this is even worthwhile to anyone...or what changes would make it worthwhile. there is alot of stuff that can be added to this, just havent had a chance yet. i will post up the spreadsheet once i verify the hp/tq and clean up a few things (its turned into a rather large file).

edit (09-22-06):
beta version without hp/tq here:
(REMOVED)
double click buttons when pasting log files...

i have to clean up the file with the hp/tq cause my geocities will only let me upload up to 5MB....and its about 6.5MB...

edit (10-02-06):
here is a newer version with hp/tq, graphs, map trace, etc.
http://www.geocities.com/joeyp_19/ECUControl_Analysis_v.1.0.7_beta.zip
speeds are in mph for the moment...i can add selection for kph if needed...
1.0.6_beta has been removed...

put newer version up(v.1.0.7_beta)...let me know if it is worthwhile.

if you log vss in kph, just use excel to change to mph for now. (kph*0.6214~=mph)

Interested, would this work with a BRE log file btw?

Car is at the shop but next week I'm retuning it because of supercharger install (n/a right now).

It will be fun to check out the curves, would this be close to tuning on a dyno (in order to fine tune ignition values)?

probably...any power/torque measurements need time and velocity. i dont know if the BRE log file has time or not.

i was just trying to get a somewhat consistant hp/tq curve. i got some kind of repeatability with my car, but i was having problems with my brakes dragging and wheelspin issues. so i calculated within a 10-20hp range.

besides that issue, all the graphs and map trace should work i believe. (with the standalone ecucontrol 5.8.41)
